A booming industry with no regulations!
Who is your IPL or Laser operator?
Prior to consenting to laser hair removal, you should do your research and find out about your operator and the laser/IPL system used in the clinic.
Laser hair removal is becoming extremely popular, it is the most effective alternative to remove your unwanted hair and achieve permanent reduction.
The issue with laser hair removal is the no regulation assigned by the government as to who can own or operate these systems. Most clinic state they have the latest and the best, most clinics promise results and trained therapist. So where do you go for laser hair removal?
When enquiring about hair removal treatments make sure you will be treated by a Medical therapist, a Doctor or a Registered Nurse. Be sure to ask if the Laser/IPL medical system is FDA and TGA approved. Be sure to arrange a consultation where you can discuss your treatment plan and talk to the medical therapist about any medications you are taking. Do not forget to have a patch test during your consultation. This will indicate your skins reaction to the laser light.
Remember, being in untrained hands can cause serious damage to your skin such as burns and scarring.
Enjoy the results of safe permanent hair reduction with a medical therapist.
